- Drafting equipment and their uses
- Line exercises: hatching lines, line pattern, formation of line
- Conventional building drawing symbols
- Technical lettering and its types
- Scale and dimensioning, its types and system
- Geometry and geometrical construction
- Theory of Projection (4 hours)
- Introduction and types of projection: parallel and conical projection (axonometric, oblique, isometric, orthographic, perspective)
- Orthographic Projection (2D Drawings) (4 hours)
- Introduction and system of 3 planes
- Principle of orthographic projection
- Projection of points, line and plane in different reference planes: first and third angle projection
- Isometric Projection (1 hour)
- Isometric scale
- Isometric axes, non isometric axes, isometric lines and planes
- Conversion of 3D into 2D and 2D into 3D (1 hour)
- Conversion of isometric views into orthographic drawings
- Conversion of orthographic view into isometric drawings

Practicals
Sixty hours of exercises covering name plate and border line, line exercises, conventional symbols, technical lettering, scale and dimensioning, geometric construction, theory of projection, orthographic and pictorial projection, isometric projection and conversions, sections and intersection of surfaces, development of surfaces, building drawings of a one and half storied building, and perspective drawings (one point, two point, exterior and interior views).
