Syllabus

  1. Establishment of Horizontal Control for Major Traverse (2 days)
    1. Reconnaissance, stations selection and pegging of closed traverse (1.5 km or more perimeter, 15-20 stations) controlled with national grid reference
    2. Measurement by Total Station/DGPS
    3. Level transfer using Auto level/DGPS
    4. Coordinate computation (NEZ)
  2. Minor Traverse and Topographic Survey (5 days)
    1. Link traverse (5-7 stations) controlled to major traverse
    2. Angle and distance measurement by Total Station/DGPS
    3. Level transfer and coordinate computation
    4. Plotting of both traverses
    5. Detailed topographic survey from major and minor control points: Semi built up area around 4 to 6 hectares of land using Total Station/Drone
    6. CAD digital data recording and plotting
  3. Bridge Site Survey (1.5 days)
    1. Detailed topographic survey of suitable bridge site area (at least 200m by 120m)
    2. Topographic map, L-section and X-section preparation
  4. Road Alignment Survey (1.5 days)
    1. Topographic survey of road alignment (corridor at least 650m by 30m)
    2. Plan, L-section and X-section with Right of Way 20m preparation
