Syllabus

  1. Architectural Drawing (18 hours)
    1. Site plan with landscapes and setting out
    2. Floor plans: all floor plans (basement, ground, upper, roof and terrace) and blow-up plans of kitchen, toilets and special rooms
    3. Elevations: front, back and side elevations (NSEW)
    4. Sections: staircase cross and longitudinal sections, wall sections from footing to coping, blow-up details of wall sections and roof details
    5. Opening details: external entrance gate, doors, windows, ventilations, skylights and door and window schedule
    6. Staircase details: plan and sections, blow-up details with staircase elements, ramps and spiral staircases
  2. Structural Drawing (9 hours)
    1. Trench plan
    2. Foundation footing plan, section and blow-up details
    3. Typical beam section: cross and longitudinal
    4. Typical slab plan and section
    5. Typical roof section
    6. Typical column section: cross and longitudinal
    7. Staircase plan and section, ramp section
    8. Typical tie beam, plinth band, lintel band, sill band and miscellaneous details
    9. Bar bending and detailed reinforcement schedule
  3. Time Problem (3 hours)

Practicals

Sixty hours preparing architectural working drawings (site plan, location plan, floor plans, sections, elevations, blow-up and wall section details, openings and staircases) and structural working drawings (trench plan, foundation footing, beam, column, slab, roof and staircase details).
