About the program

Aerospace Engineering is a four-year Bachelor of Engineering program about aircraft and other flying systems. Pulchowk Campus started Nepal's first aerospace program in 2018. Students take a mechanical base of mechanics, thermodynamics, materials and machine design, then move to aerospace topics.

Aerospace courses cover aerodynamics, flight dynamics, aircraft propulsion, aircraft structures, composite materials, avionics, aircraft systems and manufacturing, unmanned aerial systems and CubeSats. Students also study aviation maintenance, human factors and professional practice, use finite element and CFD tools, and complete an industrial attachment.
