Architecture

Architecture is a five-year Bachelor of Architecture program about designing buildings and the spaces around them. Design studio runs through most semesters, supported by architectural graphics, freehand sketching, building materials and construction, structures, building science and building services.

Students also study the history of Nepalese, Eastern and Western architecture, design theory, human settlement planning, architectural conservation and sustainable architecture. Later years add estimation, building economics, construction management, professional practice and a practicum, ending with a research-based thesis project.
