About the program
Mechanical Engineering is a four-year Bachelor of Engineering program about designing, making and maintaining machines and energy systems. Students study engineering mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science and manufacturing processes, along with strength of materials, metrology and instrumentation.
Later years cover fluid mechanics and fluid machines, heat and mass transfer, theory of machines, machine design, control and automation, finite element methods and computational fluid dynamics. Courses in energy resources, management and entrepreneurship, plus an industrial attachment, prepare students for industry and energy work.
