Principles of Geographic Information System

Course objective

The objective of this course is to introduce basic principles, concepts and applications of Geographical Information System (GIS). Students will acquire knowledge and skill on structures of spatial and attribute data, coordinate systems, transformations and projections, and data integration, processing and analysis of GIS data to derive meaningful output and make maps.
